The WORD Is Foolishness To Those Pershing

Do you realize that Adam and Eve before the fall operated pretty much in the spirit? Because God is Spirit and He would walk with Adam in the cool of the day, yet at the fall they became predominately soulish but then in Genesis 6 mankind descended even further and was predominantly flesh…and that is why God said that His Spirit shall not always strive with man for he is flesh too!!
Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
But after we are born again it goes back to how it once was by the Cross.
1Th 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you realize also that
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
This is exactly what happened when you were born again. The Word of God separated your soul and your spirit because the soul was dominating your spirit and your heart represents your fleshy lusts and desires!
Again you see all three in man.
Remember yesterday how I showed that the word “preaching” in 1 Corinthians 1:18 is LOGOS in Greek? Which means WORD?
Let’s put 2×2 together now
1Co 1:18 G3588 For the word, G3056 G1063 the one G3588 of theG3588 cross, G4716 to the onesG3588 indeedG3303 perishingG622 is moronishness; G3472 G1510.2.3 but to the ones G3588 G1161 being preserved, G4982 to us G1473 1it is] G1510.2.3 [2 the power G1411 3of God G2316.
(ASV) For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.
(BBE) For the word of the cross seems foolish to those who are on the way to destruction; but to us who are on the way to salvation it is the power of God.
(DRB) For the word of the cross, to them indeed that perish, is foolishness: but to them that are saved, that is, to us, it is the power of God.
(ESV) For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
From G3004; something said (including the thought); by implication a topic (subject of discourse), also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; by extension a computation; specifically (with the article in John) the Divine Expression (that is, Christ): – account, cause, communication, X concerning, doctrine, fame, X have to do, intent, matter, mouth, preaching, question, reason, + reckon, remove, say (-ing), shew, X speaker, speech, talk, thing, + none of these things move me, tidings, treatise, utterance, word, work.
It is ONLY BY THE WORD OF GOD i.e. the CROSS OF CALVARY is how man believes!
Then we must abide and continue in His WORD!
Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
It is not a one-time thing and then do as you please.
So as you see the Cross of Calvary reverses the curse and also returns us as spiritual beings which is where the Holy Spirit resides, living contrary to nature/soul for that which is good, and constantly putting this flesh to death by denying it the lusts and desires of it. We do all this all by the WORD OF GOD.
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Everything points to the Cross on Calvary and the Lamb/WORD/LOGOS of God slain before the foundation of the world.
Search these things out for real, go to the Father and ask Him for wisdom and understanding.
