There were 2 Enochs

What most folks dont understand is there were TWO Enoch’s..

1-Enoch, The son of Cain and after whom was named a city. ( Genesis 4:16-18)

2-Enoch, The son of Jared, descendent of Seth. During his three-hundred sixty-fifth year he was taken by God into heaven. He was the father of Methuselah. ( Genesis 5:22-24)

Methuselah begat Enoch’s grandchild Lamech. By this time Enoch is 252 years old. Then of course Lamech had his son Noah at the age of 182. By this time Enoch would be 434 years old..

In the Bible Enoch left with God at 365 years of age. How on earth is Enoch still around during Noah’s birth, when Noah was born 69 years after Enoch “walked with God” according to the Holy Bible?

The book of Enoch takes away from the TRUE PURPOSE of the flood which was to cleanse the world [Eretz = A LAND, a particular area] of sin and abominations and save Noah’s pure heritage since he seemed to be the only man whose genealogy dates back to Seth and thus preserve the promise of the coming Messiah in the near future. The book of Enoch makes it look like God sent the great deluge strictly to punish the fallen angels, and that’s not so. God did so to protect Noah’s heritage as it was the only one to NOT mix with the fallen angels, And MAINLY because it was the line that Messiah would come from!

“The Book of Enoch” IS A FRAUD. If it’s from any Enoch it’s of Cain. And if its of Cain, it comes from the KENITES! THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN!

The Book of Enoch Teaches Heresy!
As you read the Book of Enoch, you will notice
a big difference between it and the genuine Word of God. The Bible is readable, from cover to cover, it tells a story. In sharp contrast, the Book of Enoch appears to be mocking the Word of God, quoting phrases here-and-there from the Bible, without any meaningful logic or order. This, coupled with a bunch of added mumbo-jumbo, makes the Book of Enoch a ridiculous piece of literature to even consider inspired by God. As a person progresses deeper into the Book of Enoch, they will eventually find the Books of Adam and Eve fascinating as well, and then they will be into New Age occultism without even realizing it. Don’t be fooled friend, the Book of Enoch is occult material that will lead you into the senseless mysticism of pagan religion. The fact that it’s being paraded to the public nowadays on Walt Disney’s History Station as a SHOCKING revelation, should be a clear warning sign where this is all headed. The credibility of the Word of God is under malicious attack.

To the Biblically ignorant reader, the Book of Enoch might have an appeal; but to a believer grounded in the Scriptures, the Book of Enoch is packed full of heresy. For example:

We read in chapter 40 of the Book of Enoch…

1 And after that I saw thousands of thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand, I saw a multitude
2 beyond number and reckoning, who stood before the Lord of Spirits. And on the four sides of the Lord of Spirits I saw four presences, different from those that sleep not, and I learnt their names: for the angel that went with me made known to me their names, and showed me all the hidden things.
3 And I heard the voices of those four presences as they uttered praises before the Lord of glory.
4 The first voice blesses the Lord of Spirits for ever and ever.
5 And the second voice I heard blessing
6 the Elect One and the elect ones who hang upon the Lord of Spirits. And the third voice I heard pray and intercede for those who dwell on the earth and supplicate in the name of the Lord of Spirits.
7 And I heard the fourth voice fending off the Satans and forbidding them to come before the Lord
8 of Spirits to accuse them who dwell on the earth. After that I asked the angel of peace who went with me, who showed me everything that is hidden: ‘Who are these four presences which I have
9 seen and whose words I have heard and written down?’ And he said to me: ‘This first is Michael, the merciful and long-suffering: and the second, who is set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men, is Raphael: and the third, who is set over all the powers, is Gabriel: and the fourth, who is set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life, is named Phanuel.’
10 And these are the four angels of the Lord of Spirits and the four voices I heard in those days.

The Bible never mentions an angel named Phanuel, let alone an angel who is set over the repentance of those who inherit eternal life. What blasphemy! That statement in itself contradicts everything the Word of God teaches. We read in 1st Timothy 2:5 that Jesus Christ is the ONLY Mediator between God and men, not some angel named Phanuel… “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

Enoch is not considered the author of the book, by the way. That’s why it’s called a pseudepigraphical book. Be careful when you study materials not in your bible.

We should compare scripture with scripture (ie the inspired writings as contained within the canonical books). This also applies to the apocrypha writings which are NOT inspired and NOT canonical. SOME apocryphal books were used to verify and put together the bible. Not ALL are legitimate. They are mainly for historical background. Use discernment when you read ANYTHING that isn’t already included in your bible.

We should NEVER include within our theology from those external books. In fact much of the false teachings within the Catholic church are based on those external books including the apocrypha. Let us NOT become like them introducing external heresies but STICK to 66 inspired books of the Bible and encourage everybody to read those books alone as they are everything we need for our salvation, faith and journey.

There isn’t going to be anything new mentioned in those books that our Father’s Word hasn’t already addressed.
