Redeem Your Time Wisely

🌤 Early morning Bible reading discussion with Hubs yesterday… It all started with

Proverbs 23:23 and Garnett pondering on “buying the truth and taking it in prayer – Holy Spirit took if from there and G was off… gave us a lot to chew on 🔥

📖 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. Proverbs 23:23

Acquire the Truth by all rightful means, CLEAVE to it, guard it and defend it, even at the risk of your life

📖 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Matthew 25:9-10

Buy = Strongs 7059: To purchase, to redeem We are told to “redeem the time” –

📖 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16

“buying” up the moments that others throw away in the world – use your time abiding in Him, His Word, fulfilling His Will and the Great Commission. Obtain truth at ALL costs –

📖 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Matthew 13:44-46

Then, NEVER relinquish it at any price –

📖 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself Daniel 1:8

Daniel “purposed in his heart” not to engage in compromise, though in Babylon – he did not compromise (even though it could have meant death) he did not “go along, to get along”. peculiar, set apart, pilgrims on a narrow path, feeding on the bread of life and manna from heaven – not the lies of this world….. The time is coming to stand for your convictions, your truth, your God and your Faith… His Will, His Way, His Plan, My Faith –

📖 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

📖 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8
